nbspAllegany Fire and members of the water rescue team were requested mutual aid to assist the Hinsdale Fire Department with an ALS MVA on I-86 eastbound. nbspA tractor trailer had gone off the roadway and plunged in the Ischua Creek the was high and moving swiftly from recent rain and snow melt. nbspThe driver of the truck was uninjured and the cab of the truck was filling with water. nbspWater team members Robby Jones and Jerry Cummins made their way along the trailer and to the cab of the truck using the departments rapid deployment craft or RDC. nbspThe driver was assisted with putting on a life vest and then removed from the passenger side window and onto the craft. nbspMembers of Hinsdale Allegany and Westons Mills pulled the craft to shore and assisted the victim. nbspThe victim was transported by Hinsdale EMS to the hospital to be checked out. nbspAlso assisting on scene were water personnel from Westons Mills. nbsp The Allegany Fire Dept. Technical Rescue Team trains constantly and is the most equipped team in the area. nbspIn addition to water rescue the team also specializes in Ice rescue and low angle rope rescue.
