nbspAllegany Fire and members of the water rescue team were requested mutual aid to assist the Hinsdale Fire Department with an ALS MVA on I-86 eastbound. nbspA tractor trailer had gone off the roadway and plunged in the Ischua Creek the was high and moving swiftly from recent rain and snow melt. nbspThe driver of the truck was uninjured and the cab of the truck was filling with water. nbspWater team members Robby Jones and Jerry Cummins made their way along the trailer and to the cab of the truck using the departments rapid deployment craft or RDC. nbspThe driver was assisted with putting on a life vest and then removed from the passenger side window and onto the craft. nbspMembers of Hinsdale Allegany and Westons Mills pulled the craft to shore and assisted the victim. nbspThe victim was transported by Hinsdale EMS to the hospital to be checked out. nbspAlso assisting on scene were water personnel from Westons Mills. nbsp The Allegany Fire Dept. Technical Rescue Team trains constantly and is the most equipped team in the area. nbspIn addition to water rescue the team also specializes in Ice rescue and low angle rope rescue.
nbspAllegany Fire and Allegany Rescue amp EMS was toned for a structure fire at 3122 Buffalo Rd. nbspand dispatch was advising there was a possible explosion also. nbspChief 2 arrived on scene and reported a working fire. nbspAllegany Chief requested tankers from Westons Mills Hinsdale Knapp Creek and Town of Olean. nbspEngine 32 arrived on scene and 2 – 1 34 inch lines were pulled along with a 2 12 inch line. nbspEngine 30 Engine 33 and Rescue 7 arrived on scene to support the operation. nbspDeputy 4 requested an engine and ambulance from Limestone to standby at the Allegany hall. nbspThe fire was quickly knocked down and overhaul started. nbspFortunately nobody was home when the explosion occurred. nbspCATFIT was on scene until 5am the next morning investigating the cause of the explosion and fire. nbsp
pnbspOn New Years Day AFD was toned with Humphrey Fire for a structure fire on Church RD. nbspAllegany Chief and Engine 32 arrived on scene to a working structure fire with a male occupant trapped on the porch roof. nbspMembers threw a ladder and made a quick rescue and then pulled a line to make an interior attack. nbspDue to a large fire load and high winds the attack went to defensive. nbspResponding to the scene were all Allegany Chiefs and equipment Humphrey 1 and 5 tankers from Westons Mills Town of Olean Knapp Creek Hinsdale nbspmanpower from Great Valley and stand by crews from Limestone and Portville.br typemozp
